If it's 2, 4, 5, 6 or 8 you're mostly wasting our time.
If it's 3 or 7 you need to spend less time on the internet.

Therefor, I'm pulling for you and your daughter by guessing 1.

Sorry Dale I tried deductive reasoning and such so I voted on phone with friend.  Too late to be cooking dinner, Heaven forbid playing in traffic at night, or meth,...  Seems too late for 12 year old to have like age boyfriends over.  (Although I remember being 12 once.)  So being on the phone after 9PM if this did JUST happen, would be something  a 12 yo might surprise there father about.  Of course I am assuming it was a surprise.  It could just be just an ordinary thing you decided to make unordinary about by organizing a vote.

Guess I'll see in June.  Ya know, ... you could just PM the answer to those who take the time to vote. ;)

Ok guys. here is what I caught her doing. I decided to look in on my daughter that night. Well when I opened the door she was just laying back on the bed ( with the tv off ) reading. I was really kind of proud of her and I told her so. I told her it was good that she turned the tv off and was just sitting there reading. I have to say she does enjoy it. She really likes Nancy Drew. So now you know. Dale

The 8 year old little girl next door just flabbergasted me yesterday....when she got off the school bus I asked her is she was grounded as the wife and I hadn't seen her in several days.....she said"no, but Issie", the 10 year old little girl who lives on the other side of me, "was grounded for the summer".

This led to a couple of other questions but it finally came out that "Issie" had been caught kissing her boy friend at school........

Is it just me, or did 10 year olds kiss when you were in school?

Seems like they start early these days.....

Dale, you have every right to be proud of your daughter......set your expectations high, make them hard to fullfill.......set them low, and that's what she'll achieve.

I did and read every one of them. Those books I read as a child have been long lost but I have been buying them off Ebay for my daughter to read. As of now she owns about 70% of them. I told her as long as she has an interest in reading them I will complete the colection. Dale

Good on your daughter for taking the time to read.  Always been a great joy to be able to discover the worlds that books can open for us.

If you take a look in second hand book stores it's not uncommon to find full collections of Nancy Drew, "and they celebrated their success with chocolate fudge sundaes", The Hardy Boys and other classics.

We have a couple of little grandsons and I have been able to find nearly full sets of the early printings of the kids classics.  Matter of fact found The Hardy Boys for a buck a book.

  Yeah 47-70;
  It was just about 10-12 when all girls had "cooties"..
  Funny... how the "cooties" leave and "pretty" takes over in just a couple years...LOL

   BTW: Dale; a very pretty little lady there..

I have a daughter, who is way past 12 now, so I voted "phone a friend".  Not that they are above the other choices but "on the phone" was 30 times a day.
