Started off with my .308 Encore with a Stratton base , Burris Z-rings, and a Bushnell 3200 2-6x32 scope. And I tried every which way to get 3 rings on that set up but it couldn't happen.
I am kinda stuck on the Z-ring style"look" ............I am not that fond of the TSOB or Warne ring look..........but I figured I was going to have to go there to get a 3 ring set up.
But I ordered a new scope (Luepold 2-8x32) and I ordered a new base (EABCO)............and wha-la.........I got 2 z-rings up front and 1 in back !! Probably will make absolutely no difference over just 2 rings on my Stratton base but I feel better about it anyway. The Luepold has exactly enough spacing up front for the 2- Sign. Z-rings there is no extra ............and I thought about filing/grinding some of the plastic rings down for clearance...........but they fit just perfect with absolutely no excess !!
So anyway............finally got it to work !! Now I just got to re-sight it and just wait on my laminated grips to come in from OGJ..................and on deer season !!
