Hammer extension
« on: June 04, 2008, 04:59:13 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with the Carlson Hammer Extension?   Appears to be anodized aluminum and extends both sides of the hammer.   Looks like it could be made to work,   I need to fit something on a re-barreled action.  Got the scope base, but not the listed extension when the factory sent it back.   With the big move starting, not sure if its worth trying to raise H&R to whiner about a missing part.
Will that bow kill an elk?     Sure.....but arrows are much more effective.

I have a Carlson extension, it doesn't fit worth beans without modification, a waste of money IMO. I wouldn't worry about H&R CS, I ordered some extractor parts today, no problem, but in a month, there will be some delays, so give em a call and they'll take care of ya ;)

Do a search and you'll find a post from a month or two ago where I bought two of the Carlson hammer extensions.I like them but as QD2 said, they require a wee bit of modification to fit just right.
