where are you located at in IL you can order it online but how much are you wanting to get cause it only comes in 5 pound lots. i found a dealer but is in MO. If you are close to me maybe we could split the cost of the 5 lb lot it comes to about a $100 total let me know if interested.

Powders Inc. is where I get mine.  You have to order a minimum of 5 pounds, but since you may spend so much time working up a load for a given lot number you may as well have a good supply of the same.

I live about 30 miles south west of St. Louis on I-44.  The only place I've found that carries real black powder is the Bass Pro shop in Springfield, MO.  I have a friend who lives down there so when I visit I pick up a can or two.

Track of the Wolf will ship it right to your door. You must buy at least 25 pounds @ $13+  per pound for GOEX, but this price includes shipping and the Haz-Mat fee. You may order up to 50 pounds and can mix cartridge grade with muzzleloading grades. If you can get a group together to split the cost, this is a pretty inexpensive route to take.

:D  Cost is $18.80 per pound for 5# of GOEX, Haz Mat Fee, shipping and handling included.  If ordering 25# or more it's $11.85 per pound.   They also carry KIK, Skirmish, and SWISS.  ;D

Just an update since this thread showed back up..... Graf's Reloading (which you cannot find via the Graf & Sons website, must be some sort of family feud) in St. Charles, MO (just up 5th street from Bass Pro) carries real black.  They sell it for $14 per pound.  They have a whole mess of reloading supplies and some pretty reasonable prices on used guns as well.
