Veral have you every made bullet moulds for air rifles? If so could you make one from a sample? Them bullets are 60gr and look like a standard diablo style pellet.

     Hey BadNews Bob,

A skirted (as in diablo) pellet out of that gun seems pointless to me.  Veral will design something much better for you.

Here is a good post from several months ago to check out.  Due to circumstances I have not yet put my order in for an LBT mold for my .45 airgun but it is in top working order now and I will have it back shortly so I will be able to make the proper measurements.  Please keep us informed on your airgun slug progress!

Thanks butcher, there are several of us interested in this with some being avid air gunners, we are open to any suggestions and will try just about anything within reason. I myself can't swing one yet but I am looking hard at them. we shoot alot of springers and PCPs and even have a .50cal I sure like Verals work and if he has the stuff we may sure take him up on it.

The way the world is going air guns may be our only option, One can only hope not.

Yes I can make an air gun bullet which will perform beautifully.  Best with a good flatnose if you want to take game.

I like your optimisum, BadNews, in believeing we may be able to use big air guns when they get the firearms from us, but all through history disarming meant everything more lethal than rocks and clubs and they weren't permited but only tolerated because they couldn't all be gathered up. -  I have been in a fight with big brother who is trying to take me out of business for the last 9 years, but they ain't did it YET, and WON'T.  All of you, please develope that attitude, and fight, even if you think you won't see tomorrow because of your stand.  Tomorrow isn't worth seening if we are slaves.  George Washington had a vision of what has turned out to be US history up to now and one more major battle, and the people won that last battle of his vision.  My wife had an almost identical dream shortly after Kennedy was shot, but hers only showed that last war, and the people won, but only with the help God, which is exactly what George saw.   Because my wifes dream was so vivid and clear, and showed her things she had to ask military people about to know what she had dreamed, we both believe in it strongly.  The war against us is spiritual, against God and those to believe in Him.  So pick that side and throw everything you have into it when the time comes.  Just don't try to go out and start something on your own.  Wade in to defend yourself and the countries freedom and call on God for strength.  He will be there.

     Hello Veral,

I am headed to Wyoming in a couple of weeks for a bigbore airgun prairie dog shoot (and rabbits, and coyote).  I will be shooting my .454, and there will be a .458, a .308, and possibly other calibers.

I am hoping to slug the barrels/get impressions of the forcing cones for all the calibers, and eventually send them all in for LBT molds.  Got to start with mine, though (.454)!

Killed a good eater wild boar in Oklahoma with it back in May.  Right between the eyes.  Three other bigbore airgun hunters got hogs, too.  One guy killed a 142lb sow with his.

With all the development in big bore airguns in recent years it seems to me that that they would be far more popular. if more shooters were aware of their potential and abilityto shoot cast bullets with effective killing punch.  Not they are close to the performance of firearms, but that they are AIR POWERED guns with enough power to be very deadly, and superb accuracy.  They are not quiet like a small caliber springair, but do have a much softer report than powder burners.   I suggest that all you readers who haven't been brought up to date on big bore airgun progress, do some searching of the internet, even if owning one doesn't appeal to you right now.  It is very interesting reading for any gunman.  I think most shooters would be best fitted with a 25 to 30 caliber, as they can duplicate 22 LR velocities with heavier bullets, and make great pest and small game getters around the homestead.  I haven't looked at whats available for about a year now, but back then 25 calibers were capable of 1200 fps with 50 grain cast bullets.  That's enough power to drop a 1400 pound beef in it's tracks.  A 22 LR does it easily with less power!
