TC White Mountain Carbine

I have a chance to buy a TC White Mountain Carbine .50 cal. flintlock for $150. Condition is good. Been looking for an "entry-level" flint (posted question last week). Is this a good choice and price? I like the feel and the simple, compact design. Will the short barrel limit the loads I can shoot? Barrel is stamped for "black powder and pyrodex" - Am I assuming correctly that I can use pyrodex pellets? Obviously I'm new to this. Any good advice would be appreciated.

Yes buy it I just got one and paid 250 for it and 35 for shipping from oregon. And do not use pyrodex pellets in this gun. This gun is so hard to find tha I also got a lyman deerstalker flintlock.
