They look like a nice UTV. A bit pricey though, but what isn't these days? Are you thinking about getting one? I like my Mule, it does what I need it too. Not too fast but hauls a bunch. Good Luck

Retirement from the Air Force is coming within the next 2 years and I was looking for one of the side by sides. I won't be needing to haul anything bigger than the occasional Whitetail(Deer as well as Dear), LOL. It seems like most of them are running around 9-10K

I looked at one REAL hard but ended up buying my SECOND Rhino.  The reason I didn't buy the Polaris is got got lucky because the DEALER said the Polaris UTV are better that Polaris 4 wheelers the Rhino was by far a much more reliable machine than both.  I now have two Rhinos and both have been perfect.
If you want to save a little money the 450 Rhino is a fantastic hunting rig and runs well on the trail.  I got the 700 for the little extra power.

Another thing I was able to get the 700 FI Rhino for $1300.00 less!!!

I've always been partial to Yama Mama, I own a Roadstar now and have had 3 different Big bears and well as one of the old yellow 3 wheelers. The part about $1300.00 less sounds good also, guess I'll have to take another look at Yamaha when the time comes.

You should also consider what you want a UTV to do.  The RZR seems more of a riding rig and not for moving loads and hunting.  I have a farm so I have a need for a working UTV.  I also like to ride so I think the Rhino fits both fun and work.  The bottom line is your needs so let us know what you decide and ride!!!

It will need to be a small deer to haul in the bed of a RZR.  It is small, and shallow, (thats what she said)  LOL.  I think they are designed for the occassional small ice chest with cold beverages, but not much more.

buddys got one and its a hell of a rig. He can put in the woods and it WILL haul a deer as ive seen him do it. His has been reliable. Hes got 180 trouble free hours on his. I dont know how many miles that is but its a bit. he had a 660 rhino before and liked that one too. He said for slow riding in the woods it actually road a bit better then the rzr but also said the rzr outroad any 4x4 4 wheeler hes tried. I drove both and where the rzr shines is in performance. The rhinos a slug. The first time i drove it the first thing i told him was that it was boring. A rzr will keep up with most 4 wheelers on the trail and if your riding with a group of guys that is sure nice. Another big advantage to them is there narrow and will go where other 4 wheelers will go. A rhino is a much bigger unit and there not much good in the tight woods. I liked his rzr so much that im seriously thinking of one for myself. My dog wants it more then me. He gets tiired of being left behind at camp.

hey steve did you see where artic cat is comming out in dec. with a 1000 prowler. Its 80 hp and is suppose to do 75 mph. I may have to just wait for one of them. Its faster then a razor and a more practical hunting rig to boot.

The new Kawasaki Terryx sounds like quite a machine too!   About the same size as the Rhino, looks the same too, but with the very nice 750 V-Twin.  Hard to beat...

Why the hell would anyone want to go 75 mph in such a flimsy machine? And what possible use could you make of 80hp in one? Ya know these things are not street legal at least not in most states and that kinda speed on other than a nice smooth paved road is insane if even do able.

I have to wonder some times about the thought processes that go into the purchase of these machines.

Bill you just werent born with a need for speed. If we used your reasoning there would be no use for 300 hp pickup trucks or cars that go over 70 mph. The corvette would never have been invented and motorcycles would still have manual peddles. Hell pal i may be 51 and have a messed up back but im still not dead!!

I'm not dead either and in my younger days I went plenty fast but I out grew that phase of my life many long years ago. I once owned a hot rod Mustang with full Cobra kit on the engine. I dunno what it would do but it did with me at the wheel. It registered 140 and I've pegged it beyond that but those days are long long over in my life. I'm not in a hurry to go or do anything anymore.

I currently have "no need for speed". I don't even go the speed limit for the most part if it's much over 55 and don't exceed it even when it's down around 25-35 mph. I figure if I'm in that big a hurry I should have left five minutes earlier and then could get there sooner even at posted speeds. Nope sorry I just don't see the need to do such.

I realize how lucky I was that my speeding in my earlier years didn't get me or someone else killed and that was in the days when the highways had perhas 1/4 the traffic they do today. I was once stopped for speeding by a State Trooper or as they were called in those long ago days a Highway Patrol Man. As he began writting I said "you're not gonna give me a ticket are you"? He asked me if he wrote a warning only would I learn my lesson and slow down. I told him if he'd make it a warning only I'd never ever pay a speeding fine in my life. That's a promise I've kept to this day. No tickets no more warnings needed either.

Wish I had a dollar for every time I've been accused of the same thing and I'm still here.  My response has always been " If it ain't quick it must be sick. "

My present quad a Kaw Prairie tops out in the mid 70mph range and the Yamaha YFZ in the garage has the capability to top 120 and has done it in the past.

Life's not about the destination.  It's all about the trip.
