Stupid Q I am sure but here goes;D

I have a RedHawk in 44mag. and I would like to know if its gonna hurt the gun to shoot 44Spc. Out of it?  I have heard good and bad opinions but thats from people that have never tried it. These full power 300gr. XTP's  are fun but EXPENSIVE

Not at all, same case just a little shorter. I would make it a point to clean it very well though. The cylinder will get dirty and if you try to put a 44 mag in there it may not seat all the way or it might not extract easily. 300 grain is quite a kicker, maybe try some 240's.

Yeah, people talk, and they talk... but that is all they do.

I have gone back and forth from mag to special many times even in a day...  shot the special enough, usually a hundred rounds or so, then switched to the mags, and yes, after that much, you can feel the extraction is a little gritty, but that is about it.  Your gun won't give a hoot.  You would be having to shoot some pretty damn dirty ammunition to have any real seating or extraction problems.

Oh yeah, thought I would mention...  cheap .44 mag ammunition is CHEAPER than cheap .44 special ammo, at least where I am, because of the whole supply and demand thing.  American eagle 240 grn are always good plinking ammo.
