I just bought a Ruger hawkeye in 338 win mag and I am mounting my Burris FFII scope on it. Can this scope handle the recoil or will I be testing the warrentee.

If it's built like there handgun scope it will.

I have a FFII 3-9x40 on a .30-06 that has held up flawlessly through 100's of rounds (mostly 165gr, but some 180gr). I know it's not a 338 Win Mag, but still...
