If I can find used I normally go that way as well.  Good finds!

Out of a dozen+ guns I own I think I bought 3 of them factory new.   I have never personally owned a new vehicle either, though my wife has had 3 new vehicles over the years.  With patients and careful shopping you can save a bundle of money buying used.

My most recent acquisition is a S&W M&P in .40S&W.   It's original owner ordered it site unseen then when he got it found out it was too big for him to carry concealed and traded it in after having it only a few weeks.  I doubt he had shot a box of ammo threw it.   I saved about $200.  ;D

When you consider the cost of factory ammo, range availability, time , & other factors many used guns sit, hardly fired. My favorite way to buy is FTF cash.

2 Nice guns!

I bought a Ruger Single Six back in the mid 80's for $50 from a guy needing money to pay his DWI fine (he set the price). I traded it plus $50 for a new Ruger Mark II which I still have.

I got these used recently.  $250.00 Each.  Both made in 1958.

By far the vast majority of guns I buy are used.  Especially handguns.  I did buy a NIB Sigma 9mm this summer, but other than that one, I don't remember the last new handgun I bought.
