hi ya all ,
i put this post in annother forum by mistake. i have a savage 2400 12x.308 and i am in need of a safety plunger spring or the possible dimension and size of a sub. this spring sits behind the action opening lever spring it's purpose is to put the weapon on safe as it is opened. seems i violated one of my hard rules in a bush camp and that is if you are going to take it apart do it on a blanket so there are no flyers in the way of small parts.. i could also be looking for annother spare barrel set in the same afore mentioned caliber. the reason for this is the weapon was in one of my alskan caches and someone passing in the area found it and used the supplies that were there but did not put the weapon back in the case.a bit later a resident brownie following his nose decided to open anything and all that was there ,including a bag of salt which was spilled on the uncovered weapon, well it now looks like craters of the moon, still useable but ugly as sin. any help would be appreciated, i have written savage but have had no answer.
