Fixed Power Scopes

Does anyone use fixed power scopes?  Who makes them?  I am talking about 12x and lower.  I have a couple of the 10x Bushnell 3200 models that I use for load development on everything until I settle on a load on a new rifle, then switch it out for scopes better matched for the rifle purpose.  I just like fixed powers.  Thanks, Mike.

I've used a few and they were great.  Who makes them?  Well, lots of makers do. 

Leupold-- 2.5x, 4x and 6x (higher powers in targets scopes)

Sightron -- 4x

Nikon -- 4x and 6x

Weaver -- 2.5x, 4x and 6x  (higher powers in target scopes)

Bushnell  -- 2.5, 4x (various ones) and 10x (like yours)

Cabela's -- 2.5x, 4x and 6x

Burris -- 2.5x Scout and 6x

They are out there, you just have to look for them.

I am slowly switching my rifles to fixed power.
4x32 bushnell on my 30/30.
6x40 simmons master series pro hunter. (good scope for the money)
I am still trying to decide what to put on the 223.

Most companies offer a one or two.

  Just an opinion PartsMan. Stay within a reasonable power range if your going to get a lower priced scope for your .223. The higher you go in magnification in the lower priced scopes the better the chances of getting one you not going to be satisfied with. Try your Simmons on it. May be all you need.

I have a few of them.  I use a fixed Leupold M8 6x42 on my .280 Mountain Rifle, a 4x Burris Compact on my 157 .30-30, and a Sightron SII 6x42HBR on my CZ 452 .17 HMR.

I like fixed powered scopes too. My latest one is a Bushnell 10X 3200. It sure is nice. I mounted it on a T/C Contender carbine in 221 fireball. In my opinion there are not enough selection of the fixed powered scopes around. Too many people want high powered scopes, then they have to turn them down to do some serious field work.
