Ok, I just checked all 5 of my Marlins, and all of them move just a tiny bit when I cycle the action and push on the bolt. None of them move 1/16", just barely enough to tell they move. Have you fired the 35 yet? If there is no movement with a round chambered, no problem I would guess. Just make sure you check the cases carefully after you fire them. Use a micrometer before and after on a few cases, mark the ones you checked with a magic marker to track them. Let us hear what you think about your 35 Rem after you play with her. Mine's as much fun as my 357 mags!
