Recommend a better butt bag?
« on: July 27, 2003, 02:47:42 PM »
I am looking for a better idea in a butt bag for shooting my Encore rifle.  I have shot sandbags but I dont think they are the answer.  Up front I shoot an X style bag made by Dog Gone Good.  But I cannot find a butt bag that will hold steady the thin stock of my synthetic Encore.  The everyday bags sold for this purpose do not keep the sand up in the ears of the bag.  If I get the bags full enough to keep the ears up the bag is to hard to be able to make adjustments for height.  I know some of you must have solved this dilemma.  What is the answer? :?

You need what they call a rabbit hear bag for the butt of the rifle. I just bought a set of bags from the basspro shop. They are called Front & Rear Rest Shooting Bags they are made by:
