local moose season opens tomorrow
« on: August 19, 2008, 06:18:13 PM »
Our local, registration hunt opens tomorrow. I wonder how many moose will be down by noon.  Lots of activity at the rifle range this week and in a lot of less than usual calibers. In addition to the normal 308, 30-06, 7mm mags, 300 mags (all sorts) and 338 win mags, I saw hulls for 32 win special, 6mm Rem, 243 win, 6.5 Swede, 280 Rem, 35 whelen. Hope everybody stays safe and is successful.  I'l wait a week to go and hopefully there will be less traffic.

I'm getting excited myself.  Actually.. rifle season opens in ten minutes now that I think about it  ;D

Too bad work is still crazy.  I am hoping week after next I can actually get some time off to go and look for some moosers.
