I`ve been readin your posts for the last few weeks and have come across positive input on the .223 heavy barrel Rossi. Having been a .223 shooter in the past, I have lots of brass, bullets & powder but have long sold my AR. The Rossi .223 seemed to be just what I was looking for. Well Dicks had a sale last week and I picked up a .223 combo, came with a 4-12 scope and plano case for $189. My rifle seems to be the tack driver many of you have been talking about. I put a low profile set of rings on it, loaded up some nosler 60gr. partitions over 25gr. of 4895 and headed to the range. I did a quick sight in at 50yds. and was not too concerned about technique, I just wanted to get it on paper. Well my groups hovered between .5 - .75" including flyers. I can`t wait to shoot at 100yds. and settle into it. I`ve been a handgun hunter using a Ruger Super Redhawk 7 1/2" .44mag., and 7x30 JDJ & .375 JDJ. Good luck to all you Rossi shooters out there. Seems like a nice little gun.
