Condiction
« on: July 24, 2008, 02:15:13 PM »
I have the Condiction (Contender addiction)
My question to you long time suffers of this disease is how many barrels do you take to the range with only one frame and what is the best way to transport them.
I have a nice Gun Guard box for my barrels but with the last barrel purchase it is over flowing and have to get my not so thin wife any more ::) to sit on it to latch it.
I am getting my girls, Who are shooting fools, into handgun shooting with me so I have to carry extra grips and forearms for their smaller hands .
Lets see your range set up please ;)

I don't have any photos with me.  I have a small box that I keep my 10" barrels in.  I think there are 12 in it now.  When I go to the range, I take the large Doscocil silhouette case stacked full.  Usually 2-3 frames and maybe one extra barrel for each.  Very rarely do I hit the range with more than about 3 barrels for any one T/C frame.  Hate to spend shooting time changing barrels.  Hey, maybe that I why I have so many frames!

Hi
Like steve I got tired of switching barrels and grips so now have 3 pistol cases that holds 3 each ready to shoot and do not switch out barrels any more. I am ready for my fourth case so I guess I have the condition :) :) :) Of course that does not include the encore and contender rifles as well as one encore pistol. and one g2. There is a gun show Sunday may get lucky and find one to start the fourth case :) :)

I hate to switch barrels/frames so I have dedicated frame/barrel assemblies period ;D For transporting to the range I use a shotgun takedown case, can usually get 2 Encores or 2-3 Contender/G2's in there, depending on configuration. I've been eyeing those Pelican cases with wheels, with the right size case and a lot of foam separators you could get up to 10 pistols in one ::) then I'd only have to find someone to lift it in and out of the back of the SUV :o ;D
