PICS of 2 Encore Makeovers.
« on: June 20, 2008, 05:19:54 PM »
#1- Encore with a 161/4" FRO 22 Hornet barrel.

Before Pic

After the makeover. I made this forearm from Semi Fancy English Walnut, rework a factory grip by cutting the finger grooves a little deeper and staining a little darker to better match the forearm. Then made a grip cap from Zebra Wood for a little contrast.

#2-Encore with a 16" OTT barrel in 257X225IMP. The grip is a TGR from OTT that I made a grip for from Black Walnut, I also made the vented forearm and did the finish. Wood is Zebra Wood.

Dave, Just think of all those critters you COULD have been shooting while you was carving those pretty stocks! You are a very talented man.

I know what you mean, but carving is relaxing, and good for the sole!!!!

Dave, I too make my own wood. Your style doesn't really appeal to me (thats why they make Fords and Chevys), but you do real good work-soften it up some. Keep up the good work.  Pat

They're really nice, love the Hornet.  I'm going to back off, I don't think I could do that!

Beautiful work, sir.
