Went out shooting after reloading some 50 gr vmax and 38 grains of H3850 hodgdon in a TC 24'' barrel 22-250 wind quartering right to left and using a fluffy pillow as a rest on the hood of my pickup I ended with a group of .554 at 100yds ( hit 2''target at 7o'clock) I got a 1.2 inch group at 200 yards. this is the second time I have taken this gun to the pit since may and the same results .5 to .7 inch group . Does this seem normal given my set up no rest to set the gun in. I read about all these guns in the mags that shoot 1.5 to 2 inch groups and every one that I have I shoot the same across the hood of my truck and can shoot them 1 inch or less. Do they write bad about guns or am I just lucky and get good barrels and guns(TC Encore, Brownings Remingtons).
