replace barrels
« on: July 28, 2008, 01:03:24 AM »
I picked up a glock 20 a few months ago and planning on picking up a glock 21sf.  I shoot a lot of cast reloads and I was wondering what barrels you guys have had good luck with ???  I have looked a few companies (KKM, storm lake, efk, etc)I was told with the covering of the glock barrels you shouldn't shoot cast bullets out of them.  If you don't mind showing the picks of your glocks with the after market barrels that would be cool!  Did any of you get longer barrels for your glocks? Thanks guys for the help!

I shot lead bullets out of my G20 factory barrel with no problems. I do clean the barrel after shooting sessions.
I now have a Storm Lake barrel in it and find that it seems a bit more accurate, could be mental!

I think the Lone Wolf barrels are the best buy for the money. Here is a couple of lousy pictures of a couple of mine with the LW barrels installed. They are a Glock 17 and a Glock 22. I just put the factory barrels in my parts box in the event I need them. These barrels shoot better than the factory in my pistols.

My G20 factory barrel bulges brass terribly. Bought a Federal standard length, and a Lone Wolf 6" for it and both are better than the factory barrel. Have had a Storm Lake for other Glocks. All do the same job, get whichever one that is for the best price. I would highly reccomend the LW 6" barrel, it makes the 10MM shine!
