The 45 Silhoutte;

I just wanted to ask if anyone out there has any experience with this Ken Waters design. I'm basically curious about the types of guns used and performance. Beings as the 458x1.5 is another version of this cartridge I would also like to poll anyone with experiece with that also.

Thanks.

Dave

.45 Sil works good in Contenders, but could be loaded hotter in the Encore. Pretty much any single shot or Enfield or other design that works with rimmed cases would be suitable. Kind of a moot point now that the .454 Casull is so popular though. Sure would make a dandy subsonic 500gr. launcher though.

Nobade;

The only reason that I would consider this would be only because of the excellent .458 inch bullets. Other than that - You are quite right, other than just want, the .454, 480 and 50 AE would more than likely suffice.
