Shinbisha .22 single-shot rifle
« on: February 08, 2009, 09:49:10 AM »
A relative gave me  ;D a youth .22 bolt action, blued, hardwood stock.

On one side of the barrel:

  Shinbisha Air Rifle Mfg. Co.

on the other:

Model AR-10.  CaL: 22 Rifle  Made in Japan  484

and inside the receiver is stamped, 484.

on top of the receiver is stamped a fancy arrow and SAR.

Looks 40-50 years old.  I haven't had it to the range yet, but the trigger is just right for a kid at about 2 lbs.  It chambers a .22lr, extracts the cartridge, but does not expel it, so you have to fish it out with fingers.   It is bigger than a Crickett, but not much.
