Hello coltshooter2, According to their web site (
http://www.loyalistarms.freeservers.com/percussionriflescarbines.html ) The Enfields that cost in the 5 to 6 bills neighborhood (US funds) are made by Euroarms, and should be of decent quality. However, the ones in the $400 area are made by Palmetto. The revolvers made by Palmetto seem to be poorly made, but I have heard their long guns are OK, but I have never handled one ?
If the 1849 Hartford revolver I bought from, and returned to Dixie, is a sample of Palmetto's quality, I would suggest paying the extra $100 or two, and get one of the Euroarms Enfields. Maybe someone who has a Palmetto long gun will correct me on this.
