I have a 14" Encore coming and wondered if anyone else uses this caliber in the Encore?

I have it in a ruger m-77 but not in an Encore. I love the round. Just a little pricey to buy ammo since you can't buy unprimed brass. I want to get an encore just so I can get it in .338 federal. My Contender just won't take it.

I have a .338 Federal barrel from MGM on my Encore rifle.  Have only shot the Fusion and Accubonds.  Both shoot under an inch at 100 yards.  Shot a doe last season at fifty yards and was very satisfied with the results.  Taking it on a caribou hunt next week.  I have it sighted in 1 3/4 high at 100 yards with the Accubonds.  That is dead on at 200 yards.  I'll let ya know how it goes.

I don't have the 338 Federal in an Encore, but I have the Ruger Frontier in 338 Federal. It is a tack driver.
I am interested on how it works out for you.

As soon as it arrives and I get the scope mounted, I will be glad to give a short review. I am real anxious to try it. I plan on ordering some 160's from Barnes and hopefully they will shoot well.

I have the 338 Federal Encore rifle barrel. I really enjoy the round, mild recoil and MOA!

I am using the Hornady 200 gr. Interlock bullets. I have some 185 TSX Barnes and some 225 gr, Barnes X bullets to try out. But I will have to shoot up all my 200 gr. Hornady's first. I am a little leery about tying another load, the 200 gr. load is shooting sub MOA at 100 yards as it is. I may just stick with it and just hand on to my Barnes bullet for a later time.
