I prefer the 92 myself.  Smaller, lighter and once it's broke in I think it's smoother to work.  The 94 action is almost dis-jointed the way it drops down out of the action.  Course, it all depends on what caliber I need with me.  DP

I think the 92 fits the hand better than the 94, so it carries easier.  In the thick woods where I use my 92, the 94 is overpowered (bet you never heard anyone say that about a .30-30).  Since  I load my 92 in .44-40 with black powder, there is obviiously an advantage.  The .30-30 could be loaded with BP and the power levels would be about the same as the .32-40, but it would foul up really quickly.

'92 all the way.  The double-jointed action of the 94 jerks the rifle butt out of pocket when working the action from the shoulder.  Don't know why, but the double-jointed model 95 doesn't exhibit the same problem.  Neither the 92 or 95 have the clank and rattle of the 94.

Lately the one I like to play with the most is the 92 in 45 Colt ( EMF Hartford repro), but mine is not all that light, it's the 24" oct...but it's the most fun and the best action.  For more serious work I do choose the 94 carbine,  it has more power and is faster for me to get on the shoulder.
