Youth Pheasant Hunt
« on: September 12, 2008, 03:05:50 PM »
Looking forward to taking my son and nephew for the youth pheasant hunt in Dutchess County tomorrow! Anyone else taking advantage of the youth hunt opportunities to get some youngsters out there? Gotta keep the tradition going! Youth waterfowl in the southeastern zone next weekend....

Hey woodsdweller - I saw those dates listed too. But Dutchess County Federation of Fish and Game Clubs did one this past weekend at Lafayetteville MUA in Pine Plains. It was a blast. My son and nephew each took two birds. On three separate hunts they got to hunt over a brittany, two labs, and then a German shorhair. The kids had a great time (I did too!). The federation does a great job with it.
