Cleaning those long fuzzy shotgun cleaning rods
« on: September 19, 2008, 08:43:35 AM »
I love those long fuzzy rods for cleaning shotgun bores. I just tried cleaning one with a bit of Pine-Sol. Worked great. Rinses off without much apparent residue. I just wet the rod and dribbled a bit of Pine-Sol on the dirtiest part of it. Then rubbed it clean. Quickest cleaning session I've ever had with one of these and it rod now looks like brand new. It was really too dirty before I started.

I use dish washing liquid and wash it off in the bath tub. My wife raises hell when she takes a bath.
