No it's NOT. Flobert ammo so far as I know is long since out of production. I strongly suspect if you find any it will be collector grade and price. It's likely time to hang it on the wall and just look at it as you walk by. But if anyone is gonna have it then it will likely be the Old Western Scrounger.

Thanks Gray beard for the input! There still has to be a collector that knows more about this rifle and cartridge in 6mm rim fire ! Its more rare and less information than the remington 5 mm! If you look it up on the computer you don't find anything about 6mm rim fire! Hope someone comes forward with history on this oddball! Thanks Dale

Try the name Flobert in a search engine. I tried using the Google search here and got lots of hits. It does appear it might actually be a .22 after all. Kinda hard for me to comprehend anyone calling a bullet of .222", .223" or .224" a 6mm but weird stuff happens in the naming of cartridges.

I think you'll get the info you're looking for if you google Flobert.

This is an old post --2007-- but if you use the Dogpile search engine, you will get way more info than google...Dogpile searches many search engines ,including google..

I found ammo for the 6mm there from --Sellier

We stock the .22 Flobert ammo from RWS, we have both the round nose as well as the conical point. What we call the .22 Flobert is known as the 6mm in Europe. Why I have never figured out since nothing on the round is 6mm at all.
