Met a New Friend
« on: August 19, 2008, 09:18:53 AM »
My wife, Patty and I went to the Buckley, MI "Old Steam Engine and Tractor Show" last week.  We met up with fellow member chip-don, Don Gilmore and his wife, Carol, and had a nice visit.  Don and I are talking about the PD shoot next Juine.

The show was fantastic!!!  Almost 1000 tractors and God only knows how many steam engines, plus a huge flea market.  We got there Wednesday afternoon and lieft Sunday, and still didn't see it all.  Not much there for shooters, found one jar in the flea market with a mixture of assorted cartridges that looked older than me for twice the price new.

There's so much there, the Forge, Foundry, Print Shop,
Keep both eyes open and make the first shot good.

I was raised on those old engine shows. My dad collected and refurbished old hit and miss engines. I've got a Galloway 5 horse, a Malilleau and Conrey 3 horse and a New Holland 5 horse
