Saw that on the news also. Looked like and old H&R break top 9 shot.
Years ago my wifes grandmother lived alone in a small town in Oregon. (wifes grand father had gone to the great hunting lodge in the sky some yrs earlyer). There were a lot of break-ins at Sr's. homes about the time the S/S checks came out. Wifes grand mother figgered it was about the time she was gonna get hit. Sat in the living with a cup of tea and the lights off. Shure enough young lad breaks in the front door and starts across the livining room. Granny turns the lights on and cocked both hammers on a 12 GA. Tells young lad to sit down and call the police, and pour himself a cup of tea while they waited. In nothing flat 2 officers arrive. Cuffs the dumb S--T, young officer tells her granny he's gonna have to take her shotgun. Granny replyed you got that right, your gonna have to TAKE the shotgun. SGT tells young officer t put suspect in car. Then eases both hammers down on the shotgun and gives it back to her and tells her Thanks and to have a nice evening.
