There was a program on Discovery Channel several years ago about this. They also showed several other underground cities in other locations. One I remember was a [place used by bootleggers in the St Louis area, one in Chicago, and one on the west coast (Oregon-Washington) where they trapped drunks to be sold as hands to whaling ships. If you contact the Discovery Channel I'd bet they can provide information on it.
