.45-70 Handi ?

Howdy All
I am in the process of getting a .45-70 Handi. Not sure of the serial number yet, but it is a SB-2.
My question is: Where does it fall as far as strength for  reloading for it? Most manuals list the Springfield and "like actions" with lower pressure loads, and then "Modern Guns" with higher pressures.
So, where should I load for this gun? I have a Marlin M1895G .45-70, but seldom if ever exceed about 1800fps in it. I would like to stick with a load that will work in both of them.

As long as you stay in the Lever gun loads your rifle will be fine , your shoulder on the other hand will not be happy if you push it to the top of that load level . 

I have flirted with starting Ruger level loads in mine and decided that I would never need that much power from a single shot 45/70 .

Most will stay at top Trapdoor levels to mid Lever gun loads just for the fact that after that the recoil starts to get kinda nasty .
