1.) Remove one screw that holds in the trigger guard. It has just a few threads on one end, and then pushes out easily with a 3/32" punch. The trigger guard then comes off. This leaves the trigger shoe dangling alone. 2.) Then push out another 3/32" pin that holds the trigger shoe itself. This pin as well just pushes out easily, and no beating is required. the trigger itself comes out of the frame. 3.) Looking down into the frame, you see the trigger spring. It has an L shaped end that hooks in a hole in the trigger shoe. Just take a flat screw driver and shove the end of the exposed spring down toward the inside of the frame, thereby just weakening or stretching the trigger spring. 4.) Reassemble and test. The G2 spring seemed to weaken easier than the encore. The encore, i pushed 4 times to get the pull i wanted. the G2, i pushed twice and it was too light & the hammer would not cock. I readjusted but it's still really light. I would just push down on the spring once and test. It's really easy, and i learned it from sixgun or maybe jeff vicars(i forget). i have a replacement **** spring, but didn't even use it. that would involve going deeper into the frame, and i figured i'd try this first. so far, so good. I'd say my G2 is about 1 1/2 lbs or so. 2-3lbs would be light enough for hunting, in my opinion.
You didn't mention we needed to get that tiny spring contained in the trigger under the trigger guard pin... My G2 didn't need much correction, so I pushed down only once and not very far - it's perfect for me. I don't have a trigger pull gauge, but I'm guessing 2.5 lbs or so, which is just right for hunting with the heavy calibers I plan to use on this stronger frame. Thanks again!
