Any reason I shouldn't use my 50 cal ML on coyotes except for cost?
I use 295 grain bullet with 2 triple seven pellets for deer but would use 245 or 270 grain bullet out to 150 yards

No problem as long as your local regulations allow it. I would use the same bullet and powder charge that you deer hunt with. The extra practice in the field on coyotes will pay off come deer season.

I agree with pab use the same load that you do for deer. chances are you are going to do about the same amount of damage to the hide with either load so why not get more practise in with the deer load. Plus you don't have to mess with your sights

Agreed & agreed. The only considerations would be if you are interested in saving the hides or not.

The only problem I see is that you only have 1 shot. What if you see a double?

I don't know forsure but I would say that you would have to back that gun way way down if you were going to save hides. If you are going to save hides I would say find a different gun but if you just want some dead coyotes and get some practise in with your ML the go right ahead

I don't have another gun that will reach out over 100 yards. If I see a double, if I should be so lucky, one will escape with its hide intact.
At least I will have one dead yote

I don't think its real common but I have had more than one coyote come in to a call and after shooting one the other one would keep coming in so if you can stay hidden you just may get lucky but who knows.
