Well I just recieved my free lead samples from star ammunitions...all 20# of it! Thanks again Donna!
I put the wire through the ole cabin tree tester and it came out at 60 to 65...which means its 20-1 to 25-1 in mixture ratio or a brinell of 10 to 9.5 respectivly. Way too hard for the M dies but still within the S die series.
Just thought I'd post this so someone wouldn't get the 1/2% thinking they might run it in a M die.
1/2% doesn't sound like much but it would reek havock on a softer die set in a hurry.
On the plus side I have another 20# of good lead to use for target bullets now. :grin:
