Solar heating panel

Anyone have plans for building a solar heating panel. I've been wanting to try one to see how well they work. I live in nothern Missouri and don't know if they are worth the effort or not but would like to try and see how much they will help. I realize it would be only supplimental but with the price of gas I need all the help I can get.

I could be wrong and often am. I think they cost a lot of money and would take a very long time to cover the cost of the original investment. Dale

are you referring to solar water heater or supplemental HVAC heat?

alum or copper tubing painted black in a glass topped box the interior of which is black to absorb the max heat input on bottom and outlet on top so natural flow will occur  plumbed to a radiator with a thermostatically controlled fan should work  a small pump may be require to aid circulation should work for  a supplemental heat source. not very pricy to build
