Guys this lube take patience to make.
First you need a crock pot any size. This recipe is done by parts expressed in percentages. So you can make any amount.
50% Soy wax
5% Lucas Red and Tacky Bearing grease
10% Parifin
5% Vybar 140 degree
10% Seteric acid flakes
10% Lanolin based Hand Cleaner like at the auto shop or straight Lanoil if you want to spend the money.
5% coloring Flakes your choice of colors
5% Fragrance oil Sold by candles supply companys.This is where it gets the name old french whore.

What I do is put the soy wax in the crock pot and warm it until melted then add therst of the ingredients in the order as they are listed. One at a time though stir as you add and wait untill they are more than half mixed before adding the next ingredient. when all are in the pot cover and let sit for two hours on low heat or 140 degrees.
When the time is up pour in to whatever mould you have or into the lube sizer.

Now this is a good medium hardness lube if you want it harder add some rooster red HVR by 5% at a time until you reach the hardness you want.

Billy, after the lube cools down can it be re-melted in a microwave when it comes time to refill the lubersizer?

Hi Billy:

You have been a great help and I thank you for your time and dedication to this web site and the shooting sports. Keep it up, we need people like you.

A couple of questions about your recipie; what is the difference between soy wax and bees wax? Where do you find soy wax? How does your lube compare to felix lube? If I am using pure lanolin as opposed to hand cream, would I use a smaller percentage of lanolin in the formula?

the reason I started using soy wax over Bees wax is cost then I found out it was easier to work with. It can be found at most candle supply shops.
As for the hand cream versus lanolin mostly cost and it does help with keeping the diffrent ingredients in suspension.

The velocities I was get with out leading were 2200 fps with a 25 cal bullet.
OFW stands for old french whore as it smells like perfume when made right.
Vybar 140 is an agent added to candles to slow the melting point 140 stand for the temp it takes to melt it.
Lucas Red and Tacky is a premium racing bearing grease. It does not carbon up when burned with a torch.

Thanks for the info Billy. One other question; I was told there are two types of soy wax. One for containers and one for adding to free standing candles. Which one did you use.

Also, what kind of lube sizer did yoiu use to size your bullets?

I use the wax for free standing candles.
As for the sizers a Lyman and a Star.
