If I felt I needed a pistol plinker I think I would stick with the 22.
Big reasons would be cost of plinking ammo and selection.
You can buy cheapo ammo all day long.
The 22 has a somewhat bigger list of options as far as projectiles.
One being the rat shot which works well in closed areas.
I don't even pretend to know how many rats I shot in the
barn when I was a kid with that stuff.
