Sling studs
« on: September 08, 2008, 04:32:01 PM »
Ordered a 7600 carbine with the synthetic stock. I don't think the butt stock has a swivel stud. Can a swivel stud be screwed into the synthetic butt stock. Or is there another way to set up a sling on the 7600. Thanks.

I've found that the 'hollow' stocks Remington uses won't hold the screw in studs..even when inserted into the boss cast in the butt stock. I use a machine screw stud and a filler block on theose stocks that need it for the rear stud. It requires removing the butt plate but that isn't too bad,,
