Was at the gun smith this morning and was looking at his latest shipment of scopes , they were the normal stuff that he carries like Leupold and Nikon along with a new line he just started selling , the Vortex brand .
I asked him what they were like , so he drags out his test rig , made to hold 3 scopes and says take a look . We set up a Bushnell 3200 , a Vortex and a Leupold , all in similar power range scopes , to say I was impressed with the Vortex Diamondback would be an understatement .
The glass was crisp and clean , the adjustments were very smooth and easy to operate , I really like the way you can see the power setting without having to look over at the top of the scope .
For a first look I would have to rate these scopes at a 8 on the 1 to 10 scale and at the price of 1/3 the others I will be getting one to try myself so expect a full review in the next 30 days or so .
