20ga drilled and tapped
« on: September 22, 2008, 05:46:20 AM »
Can the 20ga be drilled and tapped? need to put red dot on it for son. He is having hard time with no rear sight hitting high with most of his shot pattern. I thought a red dot would help with this any other ideas?

Go here to see pics of my 20 gauge Pardner that I had drilled and tapped.
The barrel is not cut down and it will shoot 3 Remington Sluggers into the size of a baseball at 50 yds.
The D&T is easy for a gunsmith to do on a 20 gauge.

I got a 20 gauge rifle barrel from the factory.

Does anyone know if drilling and tapping holes would fit standard mounts, and ghost rings sights as well?

I hoped to try first a ghost ring sight, and then put a scope on it later.

HOw many holes would you need to drill?

i would get it tapped for the standard H&R/NEF scope base rail, as i know Williams makes a few peep sights that mount to that hole pattern also...

That is what I will do order a NEF rail and have it drilled and taped for that if I can order at same time the rear peep sight for the BC and let My Son find out what He likes best ..........
