red dot scope

i have a Bushnell trophy reddot and was thinking about putting it on my encore 15" 270 and was wondering if any one has tried it and will it hold up? it will be for whitetail and probabley keep under 100 yards.

Should do fine i used a reddot on my 357 with no problems it was a cheap one it held up.

thanks for the info i like the red dots and it doesn't make my encoer to heavy and bulky

Well , fellas I dont know how they will act with that particular caliber but, I had a taurus raging bull 454 and it ate up a good  one was a bushnell holosight genIII . well I sold that one got an 460 encore and was shooting it with a pineridge from cabelas and  and it broke also . I dont even shoot max loads either just 3/4 or so. This time I got a burris so I wil fill you in on that one soon as to wether or not it holds up.

WELL. SO FAR SO GOOD i HAVE PUT PROBABLY 50 ROUNDS OR SO THROUGH MY 460 S&W WITH THE BURRIS FAST FIRE SCOPE ON IT AND IT IS HOLDING ITS ZERO AND DOING FINE VERY SMALL AND LIGHT .
