Terminal Ballistics
« on: January 24, 2009, 03:18:11 PM »
I have looked and can't find a comparison on the terminal ballistics between full metal jacket flat nose, hard cast and jacketed soft point in the same cal. and weight. Thanks for any help.

Google "termianl ballistics'' there is a site that does some of this-- if the flat of the cast and the flat of the fmj are the same then the hole should be too-as for sp they have not worked very well as far as expanding but usually they have a decent flat nose --meplat so often kill well-- my .1 --ajusted for deflation

If all of the bullets of the same weight arrive at the target with the same velocity, terminal ballistics will be identical. Bullet performance is another matter.
