interchange ejector and extractor barrels?

I have a 308 extractor and a 45-70 ejector.  Both of these are on NW recievers.  Can you interchange the barrels.  In other words will an extractor barrel fit on a rec. that an ejector barrel came off of and vice-versa???

yes and no....They will fit both receivers...but every barrel must be fitted to a particular receiver

Works fine Jeff, I've swapped em around alot, I've also converted an ejector to a factory extractor and a factory extractor to an ejector, frame doesn't make any difference.  ;)

I figured with them both being NW's that they didnt change recievers when they went to the extractors. But had to ask!! The rec was originally fitted witht he 308.  The 45-70 fits tight and all, but will pop open every so often.  Working on that as we speak!
