Yesterday on the campaign trail, it appeared to many that Obama took a swipe a Sarah Palin. Borrowing her "lipstick" metaphor,
he brought up the old illustration about a pig, saying; " you can put lipstick on a pig"..longpause.."but it is still a pig !"
Many are wondering if that were an intentional jab at Palin, since she made her now famous statement about lipstick and a pit bull.
To protect the "sensitivities" of some members on this forum..I will not directly accuse Obama of an intentional swipe, even though
I thought it curious that he allowed the long pause between lead line and punch line..just long enough for the naturtally partisan crowd
to rise to their feet for a "standing O".
I tend to agree with the very politically astute Dick Morris, who says Obama did not intentionally say that ! Dick figures that the
thought and plan was on Barack's mind, but since it would be unprofitable, he normally would not use it. However, these days he is so
desperate and flailing..that the suppressed thought just burst out..I agree..
Is it possible that the same "suppressed thought" thing happened the other day when the "Muslim faith" question came up ? Hmmm ?
