Pin sights for a left handed bow
« on: February 10, 2008, 05:12:44 PM »
I got my son a new left handed Mathews Genesis ! Now here is the question? Is most bow sights interchangeable from right to left? I was looking at rests and I am also wondering about them being able to switch from left to right also! I know someone will help on here! Thanks Dale

I wanted a Whisker Bisquit for mine and all the bowshops had was ones for a rh bow. I queried one proshop guy and he told me that they work on either side. The only thing that made them different was the writing on it. Of all the shops I'd been to, this one told me the truth and offered to mount it. I paid about $5 more, but was glad to pay it. My bow came with sites that look ambidextrious. I was looking at Dick's sporting the other day and they have different brands that are offering LH or RH. Check with a local proshop or read the fine print in some of the mail order cataloges to be sure.

Same here. My youngest boy is a lefty and unfortunately most shops don't carry much for them....better off ordering on the net

I shoot lefty and when I got my bow it was already set up with a sight. But i wanted a better one so I went to a pro shop near my home. They didn't have the sight I wanted in lefty but they had one without a bubble level so they just flipped it over and I was good to go. The sight is a Cobra Boomslang and it's awesome. It's super bright which allows me to stay in the woods longer at night. And it was only $60 which is almost a steal for how great a sight it is. Hope I was some help.
