ruger clips

Will a mk 1 clip fit into a mk2?  I just bought a used ruger mk 1 and the clips holds ten rounds.  I saw where the original mk 1 only held 9 rounds. I assume that this is not the original clip that came with the gun.Are the clips interchangeable with models?
