From what I have read, Howa builds a very strong action. They are able to handle some of the higher preasure weatherby loadings. Mark Basner builds semi custom rifles based on howa actions, and If he trust them, there is something to them. I have a vanguard in 257 weatherby and while she is not a 375, she is a great gun, that I enjoy hunting with and shooting.

The short mags which are also offered have just as much pressure & back thrust as the 375 Ruger. There is just no logical reason for this being a problem, never mind the fact that the Howa folks are quite conservative on these issues & will not offer something questionable when it comes to safety.
