whitetail load??
« on: September 19, 2008, 10:17:50 AM »
greetings, Looking for information on a great deer load to use in my Encore I've been using 150gr pyrodex w/ 250,gr. bullet it's just not continuously hitting the mark at 100yds. I would like to make a shot out to 200yds. planning a late muzzle hunt in Nebraska. Why am I so inconsistent shooting at 100yds. I've been shooting open sights no scope allowed here in Wis. Any tips on "dialing in" my Encore would be great Fireman 108

This sounds crazy but my T/C 209X50 likes 110 grains of pellets best.  I kinda "discovered" this by accident when my wife bought me a box of 30 grain Pyrodex pellets.  Two 30's and a 50 works best for me.  I shoot a 303 gr Rem. bullet that I used to get from Wal-Mart.
You should have said something; I didn't know I had struck a nerve.
