Turkeys Everywhere
« on: September 20, 2008, 04:51:18 AM »
While driving in Sawyer, Washburn, Rusk and Barron county I have noticed more turkeys on the road side than ever before. I seen at least 50 btween Rice Lake and Bruce yesterday. It must be a good year for the turkeys hunters. I have never hunted turkey before, but am now considering it. They also pose a real threat to motorcycles since they seem to congregate on the road edge.

Same situation here on the East coast. I had to come to a dead stop with my truck because the flock would not get out of the road. Now we know where they come up with the slogan "turkey brains". :D
